Welcome to Anglesey Stays.

Anglesey is an island off the northwest coast of Wales. At approximately 260 square miles, it is the largest island in Wales.   

The Menai Strait separates the island from the mainland and is spanned by the Menai Suspension Bridge (designed by Thomas Telford in 1826), and also the Britannia Bridge. 

The coastline is classed as an  Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with many sandy beaches, mainly along its east and west coast. The north coast has high cliffs with small bays of sandy or pebble beaches dotted along it.  The Anglesey Coastal Path circumnavigates the island and is 124 miles (200 km) long.

Each of our self-catering holiday homes has different characteristics; whether it’s a large family gathering you are planning, a cosy couples’ retreat, or a walking holiday on the coastal path we have a property to suit all ages and interests. All of our properties welcome pets.

We live locally and are happy to make recommendations to our guests about anything from restaurants to outdoor pursuits.

We have considered every detail to make our properties feel like a home-from-home to our guests, and we employ our own cleaners so that you can be sure your accommodation is spotlessly clean and fully equipped with a host of welcoming comforts.

Home Away From Home

All of our properties are tastefully decorated and equipped with all of the comforts of home. We provide hairdryers, irons, and all of the properties (with the exception of Cwt Marian) do have a travel cot and high chair. Our kitchens include a full set of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, utensils and appliances but if there is anything specific you would like to check before arriving please do get in touch and we will be happy to help.

We do list our properties on the well known booking sites also, but the prices shown on those sites include an advertising / commission charge whereas the prices you see here are our direct rates. All our properties include WIFI, towels, and bedlinen plus a basic welcome pack to get you started.

Space & Flexibility

Self-catering holiday homes have become increasingly popular over the last decade, and it is easy to see why. Staying in a 'home from home' has many benefits over a hotel room or B&B. When you book with us, you are booking the entire property (no shared rooms or facilities) and all of our holiday accommodations have private off-road parking too so you know that you can relax in a space that is your own for the length of your stay.

Whether you visit the island several times a year, or you are preparing for your very first trip you can always be sure that you will find something new to enjoy here on Ynys Mon.

Quite often described as the “Jewel in the Crown” of Anglesey, Beaumaris is a quaint town with plenty of boutique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Its moated castle is a must-visit as is Beaumaris Pier, and if you are in the area for more than just a few days there is also the historic Gaol (former jail) and courthouse, where guided tours are available. Taking a boat trip to Puffin Island from the Pier is highly recommended.

Whether visiting in summer or winter, Beaumaris is beautiful all year round and instantly recognisable with its pastel coloured houses on the seafront as you drive in – you will straight away relax into holiday mode when you arrive in Beaumaris!

Valley (Y Fali) is a coastal village with plenty to do in the immediate locality. A visit to South Stack or a hike up Holyhead Mountain, Breakwater Park, or even just a stroll along Traeth Gorad are a few suggestions. The popular award winning Catch 22 Brasserie is located in Valley plus many other eateries and pubs. A great base for exploring the island.

Our Glanrafon properties, Cwt Marian & Tan Lon, are situated in the perfect locations for exploring the famous Anglesey Coastal Path and are both just a short drive from Beaumaris Town too.

New to our listings for 2024 we now have Blue Sky in Pentraeth which is in the ideal spot for exploring Red Wharf Bay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Payment of a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to confirm your booking. The balance is then due 6 weeks before the arrival date (or payment in full is required if you are booking a stay with an arrival date less than 6 weeks away). 

We ask our guests for a security deposit of £100, in case there is any notable damage to the property during your stay. When paying by card via our website, the damage deposit money is simply reserved a day or two before you arrive and then released after you depart, after inspection of the property by our changeover team and if there is no damage, there is nothing you need to do. Further information can be found in the full T&Cs page.

For direct bookings made via this website with an arrival date more than 6 weeks in advance, we now offer our guests a full refund of any monies paid. For cancellation requests made within 6 weeks of the arrival date please refer to the cancellation policy section of our Terms and Conditions for further information.

Two dogs are included in the price at Ty’n Rardd, Ty Efail, Bryn Moryd, Blue Sky & Tan Lon – extra dogs can stay for a small fee.

One dog is welcome at Cwt Marian Shepherd’s Hut.

All of the above properties have enclosed outdoor spaces with the exception of Tan Lon (the garden is not enclosed at this property only).

We ask that dogs are kept out of bedrooms and not left on their own, and that the outside areas are checked for dog poop on departure. Please note that if out walking, particularly in rural locations, that dogs should be kept on a lead.

We welcome children of any age at our properties with the exception of Cwt Marian which is strictly for adults only.

We provide 1 high chair & 1 travel cot for your convenience at no extra fee. Please let us know if you are travelling with a young child and we will be happy to set the travel cot up for you in advance (please bring your own cot bedding).

Arrival time is 4pm and we require guests to check out on the departure day by 10am. It is sometimes possible for us to be flexible on these times, but only by prior arrangement and agreement.
